Boots on the ground: not just a military term but a reality.
With funds raised on the 2022 Ride for Rhinos, 53 pairs of military grade boots have been purchased and distributed to wildlife rangers across the Waterberg, in private reserves with rhino alongside Marakele National Park and Atherstone Provincial Park.
Proper kit can help improve the challenging day-to-day life of rangers as they patrol 24/7 in all weathers and over demanding terrain.
Boots on the ground are vital to protect rhino against the poaching gangs which kill for its horn. Rangers are the frontline of conservation and as such need our support.
