FURTHER FOOD SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN IN THE WATERBERG
As the effects of the pandemic continue to escalate, Waterberg Rhino UK was pleased to sponsor sacks of E-Pap for delivery to schools in Vaalwater, to help supplement the National School Nutrition Programme.
This pre-cooked porridge containing wholegrain maize and soya bean, with added vitamins and minerals, comes in a variety of flavours – banana, vanilla and strawberry – and provides an excellent nutritional boost to children during the school day. This has the benefit of alleviating short-term hunger and enhances their ability to learn, while also encouraging them to attend school.

With South Africa’s economy suffering further suppression during these challenging times, and associated job losses and financial hardship, food support initiatives are an important way of supporting the community and local schools.
Daniel Mashasha (seen here) was able to deliver sacks of E-pap to E.A Davidson, Boschdraai and Ralehumane Primary Schools, as well as Moepel Secondary School, helping some 804 children with extra nutrition.
